NDIS group activities: Top things you should know

Support may be provided by the NDIS to enable you to access group activities, whether they are out in the community or in a centre.

Kalina Group activities can be beneficial for you because they:

  • enable you to establish meaningful relationships with others in your community
  • increase feelings of independence
  • help develop skills and confidence
  • reduce the cost of supports as support providers are shared across multiple Participants.

Person-Centered Supports

Kalina is committed to providing its Participants with person-centered supports that is responsive to their needs and preferences. We will work with the Participants and/or their Representatives to develop a plan of support that meets their preferences and assists them to achieve their goals.Kalina is committed to provide services and supports that:

  • Are consistent and reliable
  • Are available for the Participants at the time they need it
  • Are designed around who the Participant is as a person
  • Build on the Participants’ strengths
  • Enable the Participants to reach their goals
  • Enable Participants to be part of the community
